About the Photographer:
Lydia Robledo is based in Manila, Philippines.  She is the founding chairman of the Philippine Butterfly Habitat Conservation Society.  She uses a PANASONIC LUMIX FZ30 point and shoot camera to document the Philippine butterflies she encounters in the wild.  With the photographs, she hopes to build butterfly awareness among her countrymen, especially the young,  by highlighting the roles these lovely winged creatures play in the whole order of creation.  Insects comprise more than half of the animal kingdom.  Their habitat in the Philippines has suffered severe destruction.
