Hi, Jackie here. I was born and raised in Akron Ohio and believe it or not there are a lot of things to photograph here. Of course if you look around there are opportunities everywhere.
I first started shooting when 16 or 17 years old. I fell in Love!! I have always had a Canon film camera  and just recently graduated to my first digital, The Canon Rebel.
I got the digital rebel  because I can use the lenses off of my film camera. I have been using the Tamron 28-300 that I purchased about 1 month ago, for the most part lately &  It is an awesome lens but does have its drawbacks. We will/can talk more about those drawbacks when the opportunity arises.
Unfortunately I have not shot with my film camera since. Digital is the way to go thats for sure. Mine is a 6.3 MP and it does a fantastic job for what I want.I have a broad range of interests when it comes to photography it depends on the subject and my mood.  I think my first Love is scenery tho, I love capturing the great outdoors. Animals, flowers, even unique buildings. But like I said i just love to shoot. I think I am pretty good with portraits too.
I have gotten some great concert shots lately and even went to an air show and didnt do to bad.
