| This idea of slightly darkening some/all of the corners of a frame in order to "close" it - where did that originate? It's nothing that I recall from the wet darkroom. Wouldn't have been to hard to do with a rectangle of cardboard on which the corners had been trimmed. I've tried it in a couple of places lately and it seems to improve the image. IMHO. | ||

| No idea where exactly it originated - I think it was from the old silver halide days though. I picked it up on Flickr. | ||
