Hi everyone,

Just got back from a trip up to Sydney to see a trade show Photoimagingworld 06.
Probably the biggest show in Aus, but no great announcements or new stuff that i could see.

However if something similar happens in your part of the world i can highly recommend going to the Adobe stand.
They were running 30 minute long tutorials all day long on a variety of their products. Learnt quite alot about PSE 4.0
They had two guys there that had written several books on adobe photoshop. Whether they do this for all the trade shows i\'m not sure but it was worthwhile gathering knowledge.

Also got to play with several dSLR\'s with big huge lenses on them. Canon and Nikon were right on top of it with the cameras fixed to a bench on a rotating joint.

Also played with the Lumix TZ-1 very small and the lens extends maybe another 1 or 2 cm at full telephoto (less than an inch). they had several cameras also in pieces to see the insides. Kodak was a bit annoying having their stand completely roped off and insisting on giving tours of their products etc.

I guess the other good thing was to see the photos submitted in various competitions.

I think i got alot out of it the chance to talk to people who know something about the cameras was better than someone in a shop just regurgitating info or saying i don\'t know.

Anyone else been to a similar type of show? Did they get as much out of it as I seem to have?
Ooh i got a couple of books discounted and backissues of certain magazines were 3 for $AUD 5.
