I can log in with IE but but not Firefox.
It is autofilled, but even when I type it in it still doesn't give me any joy!.
I'm fairly new to Firefox and I'm not sure if the pop-up blocker is the problem.

What is the cookie message check box?

Please bear in mind that I'm no tech wizard and have usually had "a couple of drams" and any help must be explained in terms that a drunken idiot can understand.

cheers

Not an answer ( sorry cam :) but the page with
!cookie message!
!lost password!
and
Missing Content: <permanent cookie>

is http://www.jeber.com/Admin/ - don't think I've ever seen that page before...

Just for the record - I can login fine with FF on XP with and without js turned on.

Cam - what are your cookie settings in FF? You can check in Tools -> Options -> Privacy . Selecting "Allow sites to set cookies" and "for the originating site only" might fix the problem if it's cookie related. Can you post back your findings when you get a chance?

Cheers

Yes - Andy is most likely right - a cookie is required for jeber to work.

I'll get those instructions tidied up a bit...

All systems go now thanks.

The "for the originating site only"  box wasn't checked, but I'm not sure how that could be the problem.

That's the exact cause :) - the cookie is needed so the site can tell which account to connect with your browser.

I surf with cookies allowed only for originating sites - any cookies from other sites are using them  to track your surfing/ad clicking - rather than to allow you to do things like log in.

Hope you're enjoying firefox.

How so? I don't have that box checked - I know, I really should but marketing scum have to eat too you know - but have always been able to login here np. Might the problem have been something else?

Not sure who's misunderstanding here - probably me - I thought cam had no cookies allowed? and then checked both options...

If not - one of those weird bugs...

lol, must be one of us. I thought he had 'allow' checked previously but had only now added 'from originating site only'...?

I had "allow sites to set cookies" checked but not the "originating site only" box.
I am enjoying Firefox, and Thunderbird. I just don't seem to be quite used to it yet

weird bug it is then... Be sure to post if it comes back.

Have you tried the Mouse gestures addon? I'd be lost without it :)
