| I know Photo Blogs will be a big draw for new users, and there are lots of ways that they can be used... 1) Howto's and guides - Blog 1 2) Giving an overview of a day of photography - Blog 2 I'm sure there are thousands of other uses... appreciate any more ideas, and then can work out if the blogs support them. The blogs are fairly bug free... missing a feature to order photos in the auto mode. (I have to rollback some of the enhancements to travelblog) | ||

| Forgot to mention - because blog photos are cropped down to 600px - they don't count against quotas... | ||

| Don't know Jack about blogs. Except that the ones that I've read have been great sleep inducers. But, question. Do you really want two 'Image Pools'? One for 800+ and one for 600s? Wouldn't going for a fully integrated site be preferable? I can see someone clicking on a blog thumbnail and seeing the image full-screen. With links to the Personal Gallery where it is shown, to a Workshop page where that version had evolved, to a slide show/gallery of like-type photos (key word stuff).... | ||

| I see the blog images as low res small versions, that I don't have to worry about counting. Something turns up in one of my blogs that is good ... I add it to the image pool where I can do some serious work with it. That one counts against the quota... | ||

| Ali Just tried my hand at a blog. Perhaps i did some things wrong, but here we go: - The editing is user unfriendly. You have to insert empty lines to separate the pics. - Text is difficult to place in relation to the pics. (Right hand adjust?) - The center one is full size, left and right thumbnail? - No preview, but save, goto blogs, goto edit. Just my initial experience. Perhaps with some explanation everything will be clearer. Ben [Edited: 12:32 - baw ] | ||

| Hi Ben - well it's great that you've tried them out anyway! I think that many of the problems you found are because you were using the most complex features of the blog - and there are currently no instructions. In the case of your last blog I would have used - auto placement of photos - given them all titles and captions, currently shown in the text of the blog and suggested the use of the "full image" -> "next" link to follow through the events of the day... The closest blog that I have to that is My butterfly blog Not quite the same sequence usage but I'm sure you get the idea - this is how I intend to use the photoblog on a photography trip. | ||
