| I think it's about time the pig was kicked into action. My suggestion is to make a Gallery on a particular theme - one aspect of travel, maybe; Water, Sunsets, Transportation Then all the members of the pig could then contribute an image or two to the gallery - we could work on some edits, and then the best edits could be reselected (feature coming) to show in the gallery. A week or so later, choose another aspect... What do you think? - all the images would appear in the workshop, but the gallery would show that one aspect... | ||

| It's not the direction that I see the Pig going. For me the Workshop Gallery is the place, not sub-galleries. (I'd like the ability to kill the "Gallery". I see no reason for two galleries in the Pig.) The Pig is a place where travelers/photographers stick their images to get critical feedback (including re-edits), not a display site. There are a bunch of images in the Workshop Gallery. I've critiqued yours. Your turn. ;o) --- I see the themes idea as being something to come later. No reason that themes (something different from Themes - the Club) should have to be limited to one club or personal gallery. I see individual themes and group themes as a further development. | ||

| Bingo!!! By Jove, I think he got it! ;o) I think the thing I like least (the other ideas weren't bad) was the part about "best". I want to stay far, far away from any sort of between-member competition. That has really damaged other sites IMHO. I can see the sub galleries used for themes down the road. Or for continents/countries. But that can be done by keywords much easier. -- I haven't given much thought about which images to display and how to choose them. Perhaps each member could pick one of their own and change it out from time to time.... I'd be tempted to suggest that people pick the image that they felt had undergone the most 'growth' from OP to final version. That might make for an interesting gallery. | ||

| OK, now I'm seeing a couple of Pig sub galleries... Let's call one "Piggies on Growth Hormones" - members can post their image that they think best shows growth from the OP to the final version. And the other.... (Damn, I hate forgetting things. It will come to me later and I'll edit it in. ;o) --- Really posted this just to see if you'd find it via the CP. | ||

| But - remember the CP only shows the new topics - not posts... for that the "forum details" shows a history of all the threads that have been viewed/participated in... (there is a limit but it's hundreds...) | ||

| Can images show in multiple sub galleries? And I don't need to know what the posts are. But I need one place that I can look to see if anything has happened. (I didn't know that you had posted here. Decided to check the forum.) Seems like it would be better if any Club forum activity set a flag on the CP. | ||
