Your Image Pool.

It’s a holding place for all the images that you are using on Jeber. It’s the shoe box of prints that’s shoved under your bed or stuck in a drawer.  But a shoe box with a plus.

Once you’ve uploaded your images to your personal Image Pool you can use them in both club and personal galleries.  No need to upload a second time, just attach them to the appropriate gallery.

Personal Gallery.

To set up your gallery click on ‘Control Panel’ in the top menu.  And then click on ‘Personal Gallery’.

Now you will have the option of ‘Create New Gallery’.  Click on this and enter
the Name and Description of your new gallery, then hit ‘Create’.  You’ve now got a gallery.

OK, back to your Image Pool.  Under each image thumbnail  you will see

[Manage] [Delete]  Click Manage, a small dialog window will appear, select "add to personal gallery" - select your gallery from the list, fill in all the information as applicable. Finally click "attach" - the image and information is now added to your gallery.

To remove from a single gallery - click [edt] - and then click del - to remove from the gallery.

To remove from ALL galleries and form the image pool click [delete] under the thumbnail.

(Editors Note) - this routine likely to be modified in the near future.

Joining a club.

Each club has one or more Club Administrators.  These are the folks who run the club and decide who gets to ‘come to their meetings’.  Once you find a club that interests you then put in your application.

How? Simple.  Click on “Apply to join” on the club’s main page.  Just fill in the blanks.  (Remember that you have to be a Jeber member and logged in before applying to a club.)

Adding images to the Club Gallery.

Adding images to the Club Gallery is very similar to the way in which personal galleries work. Click [Manage] below the thumbnail in the image pool. Select "add to Club Gallery" - choose the club, and then fill in all the information.

You can delete images that you've added to a club gallery, but be aware that club administrators are also able to remove images from the club galleries.

Club etiquette.

Each club sets its own personal standards and rules.  Check the club forum and read the guidelines set down by the club administrators.  Club administrators are the people who let you join and they are also the people who can kick you out if you don’t behave.

The Cast

First, there's Ali, the Site Founder.

Perhaps we should refer to him as 'His Most Excellent Ruler of the Jeber Universe' or some other title fitting his lofty status.  He's the guy who has done the heavy lifting to get this site off the ground, and continues to make the changes that will create a site we can all be proud to be part of.

Second, there are Club Founders.

These are the folks who have decided to start a club within the Jeber structure.  They are minor gods who have control over the clubs they founded.  They decide who can join (or who will leave) a club.  They decide what type of photos, discussion, etc. that the club accepts.

Next, Club Administrators.

These are club members chosen by the individual Club Founder to help run the club.  Club Founders generally can't be available 24/7/52 to make club decisions.  The Club Administrators help provide broader coverage.

And last, Members.

The mere mortals of the site.  These are the folks who join Jeber to create their own personal Galleries and to become Club Members. Members can graduate to club administrators and club founders as experience with Jeber grows. For many this level of participation will be more than enough.

Jeber is a flexible site where you can choose your own level of participation.
