| Ben Wouters (baw) Msg: #1 July 15th 2005 11:21:36 | After deleting the background with the Magic Wand and Magnetic Lasso tools, i repaired the small mistakes with the History Brush. The shoulder had to be restored with the Cloning tool, not very satisfied with result yet. Final work was done on pixel niveau, deleting the last remains of the background. Finding a good background was next, putting it in a background layer gave easy control over the positioning of the sailors head. Flattening the pic and saving as 800x600 jpg gave this result. |

| Ben Wouters (baw) Msg: #3 July 20th 2005 09:45:23 | This is the part of the beard that touches the background. Anyone with some tips on extracting the little hairs intact? Also some help on rebuilding the right shoulder would be appreciated. |

| Ben Wouters (baw) Msg: #4 July 20th 2005 10:09:01 | Bob: I did some blurring of the edges locally. I tried blurring all around, but that didn't work for me. You feel it needs more blurred edges? Adrian: the hairs below the left ear are troublesome indeed. If you have some tips on handling them I'd appreciate that. | |||||||||||||||||||||
