I straightened this shot and then cropped off a lot of the right to allow the subject to more fill the frame and to move him to the 'right third line'. Then I increased the contrast and sharpened. I've got to warn you that I've been accused of adding too much contrast to images. I think I'm going through my cartoon-look phase. ;o) | |||||||||||||||||||||

If you have to straighten then you're going to loose a little something when you square it up again. I'm trying to retrain myself since I switched to digital. For years I shot slides and with them you have to get your framing spot on. But with digital, and the ease of editing in computer I'm trying to get myself to 'overshoot' the image a bit. That gives me the ability to straighten if I get off a bit and not loose anything important. | |||||||||||||||||||||
