| Justin Watson (Justin) Msg: #1 June 25th 2007 04:33:03 | I find the headstones blend into the undergrowth too much in this photo. I'm wondering if a fill flash may have helped here or i'm sure some nifty photoshopping could help. I'll see if i can do anything to it...... | |||||||||||||||||||||
| Justin Watson (Justin) Msg: #2 June 25th 2007 05:03:12 | OK i cropped it abit. I really wanted to crop the front cut grass andan object in the lower right as well. in the end i cropped the large tree out to. I then masked the tombstones and colour corrected them to grey.... This was a hard one IMO because i'm sure the original photo is to show the tombstones as forgotten. |

| Bob Wallace (BobTrips) Msg: #3 June 25th 2007 05:43:18 | I like the selective color correction idea. The overall shot was too bland for my taste and I couldn't put my finger on why. The green moss on the stone was camouflaging. I think I'll try a version a bit less drastic than yours - look for a middle ground. Thanks a bunch. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| Justin Watson (Justin) Msg: #4 June 26th 2007 07:21:55 | Yes i think i took it too far.... I wasn't happy with my revision, but if it gave you ideas then i guess its still beneficial. I didn't worry too much with masking the grass in front either. just used the polygon lasso tool then edited in the mask mode. | |||||||||||||||||||||
