The sensuous tango dancers in Buenos Aires. I had to crop some stuff off so it looks a little off balance.

Nice shot Russ! You've captured these two clearly tango'ing their hearts out :)

There are a few things I'd consider altering if this were mine though. Firstly, the shadows aren't quite black - use Levels to chop the base off the histogram just below the main bump. Secondly, I find the background slightly distracting; in my Workshop version I've used a few layers of selective Filter/Blur/LensBlur on the background to simulate the shallower DOF available with an SLR. Cropped slight more top and bottom to draw us in closer to the action, and place the shadow so that it leads in from the bottom right hand corner. Ran Shadows/Highlights 5/5 to try and tone down the highlights slightly, and accentuate the detail in the shadows. Finally applied a little vignetting using Filter/Distort/LensCorrection.

Hope you like it :)

I rotated just enough to the left to straighten the doorway in the background.  What I was after was not so much the door, but to add a bit of lean into the man and give the shot a bit more of a dynamic feel.

I had to crop a bit too close as I was working off Adrian's version.  I also cropped so that the shadow hit the lower right corner of the frame.

Wow, I really like what you two have done. Adrian, is there a workshop on line anywhere to show me how to do what you have done?!

I'm not aware of a tutorial for the technique; it was just something I needed to do at some point, so I worked out how.
