| Bob Wallace (BobTrips) Msg: #1 June 5th 2007 17:53:32 | The guys in the lower left aren't quite enough in the picture to be part of the story but in enough to be distracting. How about a tighter crop which makes the car more dominate in the frame and moves it to a "power point"? Also tweaked Levels to increase the 'blackness'. |

Agree with bob about blackpoint and marshalls. Another option for this would be shooting from a far lower angle - but I wouldn't like to try it myself ;) I wonder whether a slower exposure and panning would work here? as an experiment you could always cut out the car, and use MotionBlur on the background. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| Justin Watson (Justin) Msg: #3 June 6th 2007 14:40:52 | Those lucky official photographers always got in my way :-) I actually have a series of these and also have a ready made tryptich i'm working on. As for the sun it was early morning and you saw the mist on the emu photo... Unfortunately at these events without a media pass its hard to change angles. When i compared my shots to the ones in the paper i was quite happy i had something different and just as dramatic as the pros took. | |||||||||||||||||||||
