If I'm absolutely honest, I can't see a difference between R1 and R2?

I uploaded again just to make sure that I posted the latest version.  Did you look at Rev 1 & Rev 2 side by side?

I can go lighter around the eye but I thought I had gone enough.  I lightened up the surround, darkened the iris, increased the catchlight.  If more, which element?

OK, I see the difference now - sorry, had to load them into Photoshop and overlay them before it was obvious. Couldn't do that before, as I didn't have Photoshop installed.

It's now running again, this time under Vista RTM :)

I had in mind a wider area brightening - to make the eye really stand out. The eye being the thing we instinctively seem to focus on... I wouldn't worry about it. I'm not sure it would look particularly natural anyway.
