I like this photo. But I think it could have been taken much tighter.  Two strong verticals are nice but the vertical on the left seems to lead my eye no where. So cropped it out. I also sharpened the image and adjusted the level. The photo seems a little overexposed there is no detail in the white.

Cropped the image, so that the black railing is not in view. Not sure that the white in the photo is correct yet though

I think the first elephant you've taken the photo too close, i'd have liked to see the trunk. i like the effect you had in mind though.
