Photographers Note:
This is a closeup of a sign from the first penal colony on Australia.  The conditions at the prison were quite bad, specially during winter.  This sign speaks about the inmates ability to continue trying again in order to survive.  The building in the background is the actual prison.  I tried multiple angles on the sign and though this was the best.  I think it could have been better and would love some suggestions.

I'm not sure what the original scene was like so I'm not sure how you could have better shot the frame.  Was the sign frame 'leaning' as it appears in your shot or straight?

And what were you after?

I played around a bit with your image just to give you some ideas of what you might do with editing.  I used the "Distort" tool to drag the corners of the image so that the "Try Again"s  more or less line up.  I then cropped used the clone tool to clean up the top two signs.

This might have been a shot that is impossible with a fixed plane lens.  Sometimes one needs 'tilt and shift' that is found only with a couple of Canon lenses and "bellows" cameras.  Lacking those then software can often do the job.

If it seems like I'm on the right track with what you were after, I'd say that the best thing that you could have done is frame a bit looser and leave more space for editing.

Finally, I took a look at the histogram and saw that you had neither "true" blacks or whites, so I stretched the distribution.  And sharpened.

Tnanks Bob, I like what you've done.  The sign post was at about a 65 degree angle which made it nearly impossible, given its height, for me to catch the words I wanted with the angle I wanted.  Thanks for the help!
