Photographers Note:
This photo was taken last weekend with my new camera (Kodak DX7590) I have had a play with it and brightened the branches and foliage on the right and also brightened the white tops of the waves. I had a go at the skyline but it looked terrible. Keep trying I guess!!

Hi David,

I like the colour in the sunset and the foliage. The sky didn't add much to the image for me - so I removed most of it :-) To balance out the sky I then removed some of the water to try and keep in with the 'rule of thirds' and ended up with a panoramic. It feels (imho :) more expansive and immediate than the original.

The branch that I removed does have quite a bit of character to it and from a different angle you might be able to get it to frame the rocks(?)

Hi Andy,
I know what you mean about the sky - it's pretty ordinary. I tried to have the branches frame the rocks (they're Julian Rocks) as I considered them the main focus of the photo, however I needed to be about 15 feet tall as the foliage covered the scene from that part of the walkway.
Thanks for your feedback,
David.
