I think i'd have liked this more if it was a macro with the droplets of water more prominent.
its interesting but i'm just not sure what to make of it. there is a nice heaxgonal pattern in the middle of the image, but the rest of the image seems to clutter it perhaps...
Hmm like to know what you think of the photo Bob.

Actually I'm not that impressed with it.  It got accidentally mixed in with a set of pictures on which I was working and I thought I'd see what I could do with it.

I didn't notice the bit of leaf covering the upper left bud when I took the shot.  Should have and should have removed it.  I think there was a better shot to be had by getting lower to the left and shooting more side-on to the buds.  The water drops might have been more prevalent that way.

I do like the way the rose color transitions to green.  Looks like I screwed up the lower branch while trying to darken it.

Yeah i can see the potential in the subject :-) Probably not alot you can do in photoshop either.
I guess that what we all need to think about is the advice we get here so next time we take a photo we can remember the tips we've given each other!
