| Adrian Warren (AdrianW) Msg: #1 August 27th 2006 10:54:43 | Nice shot! You've managed the exposure very nicely here, no blown highlights. The long exposure exaggerates the water flow nicely too. Remember that sharpness falls off at the smaller apertures due to diffraction - so f/38 is probably not going to be anywhere near as sharp as f/13 for example - which means you're better off shooting shots like this when the light levels outside are relatively poor IMO. I think the composition might be improved - not sure about the debris on top of the logs, also wonder whether you could have taken it slightly more mid-river and looked along the river more perhaps, so that the water formed the entire image? I feel the bank distracts from the water. Do you agree? | |||||||||||||||||||||
