Not quite sure whether I like the toning/conversion to B&W quite as much though - I find the fairly flat areas of grey, like those at the bottom of the wall, marginally distracting. Also think a small black border might help keep it within the bounds of the frame, I'm looking at it against a white background, and it seems to spill out - if you see what I mean?

And I'll take a look more closely at the flat grey contrasts and see what and how it can be manipulated. To me eye, it adds to the grit, the grim and urine stench of a cornered wall, lingering with trash and other debris. It's a dull and dead area, that confluence of dead-end walls meeting in a tagged alley.
| Bob Wallace (BobTrips) Msg: #3 August 26th 2006 01:19:38 | Trailing along after Adrian, I cropped off some of the area that I though unnecessary and cluttering. Added a thin gray border. In Photoshop Elements I Resized -> Increased Canvas -> Added 10 pixels to top/bottom and sides and selected gray as the background color. That put a 5 pixel gray frame around the image. Roped that puppy right in. |
