I selected out the swan and increased the brightness/contrast on the rest of the frame. Didn't do a careful job and blew out part of the sky. But this should give you an idea of what you might do. |

This said, no critisism to Bob, I have some reservations re the 'perfecting' of pics in a monstertool such as PS. | (StraightnoChaser) Msg: #5 August 13th 2006 18:06:33 | Not that I'd have reached any conclusions about this or that I am critisizing PS masters...perhaps what worries me a bit with PS is that all finishings end up looking the same? Like slick finished veneer. PS seems to encourage auburn skies and super contrast? Maybe I'm referring to a sort of a global PS taste? I don't know. Ansel Adams...not my taste...somehow the super landscapes don't really get my emotions going. Today, I ordered Revelations by Diane Arbus...let's see how she'll affect me.... But if you make subtle changes and are open about it then i see no problems... Obviously if the photo was for a newspaper or something thats a different story. Back to my photo... I deliberately took it with the background in shadow. There was an awful looking dam thing at the other end. But yeah just playing around with lowlight wie angle type stuff.
