Getting quite dark when photo was taken, as well as using a slowish lens.... should have got the 135mm f2.8 out, but wanted to zoom in closer.

Here's what I was able to do with the Shadow/Highlight tool.  I also did a little detail on the eye, most with selective sharpening.  Sharpening makes the light pixels lighter, the dark ones darker.

And here's what I got going a different direction.  I selected the swan and removed all color, turning it into a silhouette.  Then I increased contrast to bring more 'life' to the water.

I think this one would have been more interesting had you captured the swan's entire shadow.

hehe looks like you had fun Bob...
I'm not sure what photos i have exactly. Most of my swan pics were very blurred... The sihouette is very striking though!
