First thing i thought was to crop the photo down to just the clothes drying. Not sure its quite right but a completely different effect and view.

Roughly speaking I agree with Justin here - except I'd be tempted to crop more off the right so the guy would be looking into the clothes more. Zooming in a lot closer would have helped here I think - although since you were on the bus at the time I'll cut you some slack ;)

OK, see the point.  There is a better image if someone does some cropping a cloning.  I'm not sure I did a good job with the cloning part.

yes, that's the idea - cloning out the pole helped i think.
