| Andy Leach (RedAndy) Msg: #3 June 14th 2005 16:52:13 | Hi Brad, Wonderful image - I'd love to know what it is they're looking at there and the story of the photo. Great colours and facial expressions - you seem to have really captured a feeling. I did a quick re-edit too. It's pretty similar to Bob's. The original seemed a little too white, as if it had a very light haze over the surface so I wanted to reduce that - it's probably due to a difference in our monitors, but I think mine is pretty close to correct ( feel free to argue :-) Here's what I did: sharpened the entire image, desaturated the yellow and the red a little and increased the green. The leg(?) on the right hand edge was a minro distraction so I cloned over it using the dark of the sari above - with more care and attention it could be done a bit more successfuly. Finaly I reduced the yellow of the little girl on the left, I'm not sure if that was a sucess or not, it seems to have gone a little bit grey. I have a feeling that I used levels on the entire image as well but I can't remember as I did it last night and am only posting it now. This photo just makes me smile - nice job. Now give us the story ;o) |
