| Jasmine (Jaz) Msg: #1 July 26th 2006 23:06:26 | I like the focus on the eye. It captures a sense of wisdom and the angle of the neck makes the bird seem humble. Nice shot, as usual. I wish I could see all of the beak just to complete the look, but I think that might detract from the eye. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| Adrian Warren (AdrianW) Msg: #2 July 30th 2006 17:46:27 | Nice, but way too dark. A slight run over with Curves, one point up left, and then fractional Shadows/Highlights (0/5%) works wonders IMO. Reduced the Saturation/Brightness on green to tone the grass down a bit. Remember if you have any doubts about the exposure, check the Histogram in PS. |

| Bob Wallace (BobTrips) Msg: #3 July 31st 2006 15:17:36 | What WAS I thinking? ;o) Thanks, A. The histogram is a good tool that I hadn't been using. Here's yet another version. I think in your edit you loose some detail in the upper left and upper eye area. A bit too bright perhaps. The background in your version. Is that caused by you working from a site-furnished Jpeg as opposed to working from the original as I am doing? |
