I think this shot of the Opera House works better than the 'sundown' version due to where you were standing when you took the shot.  There's a lot more separation of the OH from the background in this image.

I' d be tempted to crop right to get rid of the crane (?) and the bottom as I find the dark water area distracting.

It's too bad that you didn't get a little wider on the left.  The sailboat helps to give the shot scale, but it needs a little space behind it.  (You could add some to the frame if you want to spend some time and that sort of modification doesn't bother you.)

yes i was wandering around sydney with a mate. So while i had my camera with me, i wasn't free to go back to the good spots for a photo :-)
I will have to go to Sydney for a weekend that i'm free to wander!

I did get some photos with yachts in the foreground but they dominated the image.
