Photographers Note:
A tree taken in the mountains of Australia. A Bushfire went through here a few years ago, thus the green regrowth around the base of the tree. There is even snow on the mountains in the distance. It was cold around 5C when i took it, hopefully the photo looks as cold as it was.

From the thumbnail I though you had shot a baobab tree.  

Nice job.  I like the way you framed the main subject off to the side and left a 'vista' on the right.

I don't think there's much of interest in the bottom of the frame and by cropping it you can lower the tree in the frame thus making it feel more 'stable' and giving a more panoramic feel.  And try a bit more sharpening.
