Here is a workshop: I used the lasso tool to select the areas I consider to be the background, then blurred it. Then I reduced the saturation and lightness of the background - till I was happy with it. Next I selected the entire image and increased the contrast by 6 and decreaced the brightness by 14. I think I have a bright high contrast monitor - so I hope it doesn't look too dark on others... Hope you like the results - gets the eye focused on the topic of the photo anyway. I choose o leave the background unblurred as it helped set the 'context' in my mind. Blurring focuses attention on the pee pots. (Not that they don't grab your eyes anyway. ;o) BTW, I used the selection brush to make my selection of foreground/background. In original capture the background was really bright and the foreground quite dark. Case of bad lighting conditions - not being there at the right sun time. | |||||||||||||||||||||
