Well, here goes.  My first contribution to the Blind Pig.  Please feel free to comment, I can handle it.  I'm currently operating without access to any photo editing sofware, so for a while the images that I post will come straight from my camera...no cropping or anything.  Oh, yeah - I took this photo in the Ardennes Forest in southern Belgium.

I'd say you did a pretty good job with this shot considering the weather and time of year (bareness of trees).  It's well composed with the stream entering in the rear, left of center, and exiting on the right front.

I think cropping up a little higher might work.  I'm posting a recropped version.  I also boosted the contrast a bit and sharpened.

BTW, I'm going to post a couple of links on the forum.  One for an online photo editor - somewhat limited but better than nothing.  And one for a portable version of the GIMP which could be run on an internet shop computer from a USB memory stick.

Thanks for the tips.  I appreciate the links too.  A web based photo editor would be great.  I'm currently stuck using University computers and don't have administrative access to install new programs.  I know what you mean about the time of year.  Most of my photos to date have been rather gray.  The North Sea climate is not the best for good natural lighting.
