Shot this at the Cai Rang floating markets in Vietnam. I was balancing carefully on the roof of the boat, thus restricting the angles i could shoot the photo.

I see two treatments with this photograph.  First it could be cropped down to a "here's a fruit vendor" which would make an interesting travel shot.

But leaving it (almost) as it is makes it a very powerful image.  You've got all the elements of a social commentary going for you.  Barefoot, shabbily dressed female crouching at the feet of a well dressed male, earning a little money by peeling him a pineapple.  He's got enough money that he doesn't have to bother doing unpleasant things such as preparing his own fruit.

I cropped it just a bit in order to get rid of the little bits of turquoise here and there.  I might have done more but I notice a serious problem with the woman's face.  Looks like it might have been damaged in the file reduction process?  Zoom in tight on your original and see how that version looks.  I'm hoping that it's fine and we can see a better version on the site.

oh dear you comment about the face had me worried, but then remembered it was bird flu time and alot of people were wearing scarves over thier mouths. Looking at the original this is certainly the case. Its a lilac coloured scarf....

The original is unfortunately only 3 Megapixels.

Thanks for that info.  I was really wondering what had happened to her face.  Couldn't figure out how it could be a software problem, didn't think of a scarf.
