| Christopher Kean (chriskean1) Msg: #1 April 20th 2006 09:16:39 | That's a great mask--so much rich color, a nice texture, and the flowers at center-right set it all off well. I had a couple of issues but am not versed enough in editing technology to do anything about them. First, I find the shadow at bottom left a bit distracting, and ordinarily would crop it out but would resist doing this because doing so would ruin the sense of shape of the mask. Perhaps it can be selectively lightened or otherwise dealt with? Another item is the bust in the background at right. It seems interesting enough to leave in if that part of the photo can be lightened a bit, but otherwise it seems distracting to me also, and I might suggest sacrificing it, the pink (?) flowers at far right and the rightward-leaning yellow flowers for a tighter crop. I have now decidedly become a broken record with the advice to crop, crop, crop, most of which is down to personal preference anyway, but there is not much other advice a chromatically-challenged non-PS user can give. One other item--in the "hair," especially at bottom left, are those white strands, or flash reflection, or is there some noise in the photo? Is there a way to dampen it? CK | |||||||||||||||||||||
