This older gent had come to the temple tank and taken his ritual bath.  Afterwards he sat and dozed in the warm winter sun.

An almost Classical pose, nicely captured.  The full-size image seems to have some distortion problems (sorry if I don't have the terminology right--I mean to say that I can see pixel lines along the arms, etc.), but I can't detect these at normal size and in any case this may be just the size at which you uploaded.  The only bit I found distracting is the "L"-shaped white stuff over the man's head--you might want to clone it out, or alternately (if image resolution allows it) crop that part of the photo down to the point where the bottom step meets the right frame, with a similar crop off the bottom of the image.  I have tried a quick-and-dirty version, which I will try to upload...

Thanks Christopher.  I like your crop.  It changes the impact of the picture to me, but is equally as valid.  I find that most good pictures have multiple pictures in them and find it fun to go back to something that I like and 'do it differently'.  (That's the art part coming in, I suppose.)

I think my  version says something about the man and something about the place in terms of the scale of the tank.  Your version is, to me, more of a portrait.  I like both.

The 'pixel' stuff along his arms when viewed Full Size.  I think I see what you're talking about.  Try looking at the full size version and then clicking to enlarge.  When I do the 'pixels' go away.  I suspect it's a resizing problem with the site software.

The 'L'.  Gotcha, it will come out/get toned down in the final version.  Thanks for pointing it out.  That sort of manipulation falls within my personal rule as acceptable.
