(My version is probably a bit over the top.) I dropped the brightness some, increased contrast, and sharpened. This might have been a very good time to shoot a panorama - take a few overlapping frames and stitch them together. Looks like the interesting sky extended past both sides of your frame. |

| Bob Wallace (BobTrips) Msg: #3 April 19th 2006 02:06:54 | No, just something simpler. (Paragraph 2 ;o) PSE had a Brightness/Contrast set of controls. I just dropped the brightness a bit and upped the contrasts. Don't know why but increasing contrast seems to really work with gold. I do it a lot on gold covered statues (Buddhas, etc.) Sharpening makes the edges crisper along the tree line, among other places. (Don't expect really good explanations from me.
