Not sure I improved the story but. . . I think the image is to dark and the goat and "stuff" in the top right is distracting. I used CS2 to lighten with levels, cropped and used smart sharpen.  What do you think?

Yes.  I think lightening helps.  Makes it more like a bright daylight shot which it was judging by the distinct shadows.  But I think I like the wider framing, it adds more linear feel to the net, I think.  

And I miss my goat....  ;o(  

Actually I find the fish trap on the left adds interest for me.  But you may be right that it's a better picture without it.  Maybe I'll try a version where I clone it out but keep the realestate.
