Beautiful colors and the palms in silhouette work well.  Nicely framed and exposure is good.  It's one of those 'wish I were there now' pictures for those of us looking out the window at dirty snow.

I tried a few things, first straightened the horizon.  Then I cropped to eliminate that bit of intruding palm frond in the upper left and reduce the amount of black at the bottom of the frame.  Then I dropped the brightness a bit and increased contrast.  I think the last two tweaks make the color richer and create a bit of a 'sheen' on the water.

Bob- this is weird. Before I added the photo to the workshop, I revised it, making much the same changes you did. I'm not sure why it didn't take.

Did you save the edited file under a new name?

Check and see if you have two versions.

And look in your Image Pool and see if you uploaded the correct version.

(It's a little early for April Fools, but maybe Ali started early.  ;o)

Bob-

Here's my revised version. Yes, it's in the image pool, but I have no idea why it didn't load.

Not having luck today with the uploads. Resized the photo to make it smaller, hope this one works.

Edit: Ok, I like the color on your version better.

Looking at the two versions side by side (if you hit reply you get a screen that let's one compare any two versions) I like the color in mine, but there's more detail in the palm fronds in yours.

Maybe layers are called for.

Bob-
Layers are something I know absolutely nothing about. One of those things I still need to learn in photoshop.
