Good color and good focus.    

I tried a couple of things for your consideration.  I rotated the frame just a bit so that the soles of the shoes were on the same plane.  Then I cropped down tighter.  

You might want to try darkening the curb.  It is a bit intrusive to my eye.  

I think this shot might have been better had you shot from a lower angle.  Of course, being a bit ahead of the parade would have shown their faces and the potentially more interesting uniform fronts.

I agree with your comments on a different angle, and I like what you've done with this shot.  Unfortunately, I was actually on a tour of the Citadel at the time these guards walked by on their way to sentry duty.  It was unusual for them to be in these uniforms in the first place, as they are 'Royal Guard' uniforms which are only worn when the Governor-General is in residence.  I happened to be there on one of the right two days.
