Photographers Note:
This is a pseudo double exposure. I couldn't take a real double exp so I shot the statue with a wide angle and then the moon with a telephoto, then cut and pasted the moon into the original shot.

Hi Walt,

great shot - thanks for the note on how you acheived it too, very good to know, you've made it work seamlessly.

I was a little distracted by the black next to the moon so I cloned it out along with a little bright orange spot in the bottom right ( don't look too close, it ain't a pretty job ;-). There's almost a diagnonal in the image running from top left down to the right across the tops of the pillars/statues, I wonder if a step to the left would have broken that up and left the attention more on the moon...?

Thanks Andy... that was a mis-crop... I meant to fix that but hadn't got to it yet. I hadn't noticed the slope you refer to... but I see that it's there. Different angle might have been better... next time I'm in Luxor I'll try it.

Walt - I don't have much to say except that I love this shot.  Andy's revision is great, and, to be honest, I rather like the line formed by the non-lunar subjects.  It makes me think that the moon is held up by our history.  Beautiful shot.
