That sure helps IMO.  You might have 'deselected' the sky and not lightened it.  You lost a bit of detail in the left side.

That's brought a real smile to my face, thanks Walt :-) Gives the image a much more mediterranean feel - it's nowhere near the med, but I like it. I'll have a play with the original here and if I get something good from it I'll post back.

It's quite a dramatic image blown up, so I'd like to get as much out of it as I can.
