This one's beautiful.  Excellent framing/composition, IMO.  Great color, good exposure control to hold it all together.

I tried a bit of a crop for you.  And I sharpened just a bit to see if I could get little more detail from the branches.

Yep that looks better too... too much black in the original... I usually crop to 8X10 from the raw 11X17 and sometimes it's difficult to get all the extraneous material out and still maintain the proportions.

Since moving from decades of slides and their rigid format to digital I've quit worrying about 'standard sizes' and started looking for the 'best size for the scene'.  I like the freedom.  I'm not sure how I'd deal with framing issues as I don't bother....  ;o)
