Obviously these guys are doing a bit better than the ones who have to go out in the morning and collect.  Someone's gone to the local restaurant and picked up some goodies.

Thanks Ben.  The plastic bags - I suspect they would bring a smile to those who have spent some time in Thailand.  This is the way one brings stuff home these days in the milky white bags with handles.  It says that these monks didn't make the rounds in the morning, barefoot with collecting bowl in hand, but shopped at the local fast food market.

I can see why they wouldn't work for someone who hadn't been there - the irony would be lost.

What I really liked about this scene was the light.  The way the red blended into the black.

It's a while since i was in Thailand, appearently the use of plastic has been spreading since then. Nice composition anyway, even including the plastic ;-)
