Photographers Note: [cimage=118] [cthumb=118] During this last trip to Bangkok I again visited (got to look up the name of the temple) which is also know as the Metal Palace. It's become a favorite place of mine both because of the architecture and the fact that few tourists visit. A nice peaceful place to relax for a while.
This time I wandered around back to see what the neighborhood offered. There I found the ruins of an older, far less elaborate temple and on the still standing rear wall of the temple some beautiful stucco figures.
Standing in the elements and are slowly being taken over by the ever invading vegetation are Buddha and two of his followers. The artist's style is not like anything else that I recall seeing in that part of Thailand.
