Konica Minolta Co., Ltd, is based in Osaka, Japan. Founded in 1928 as the Nichi-Doku Shashinki Shōten, meaning the "Japanese-German Camera Company". Known as Minolta until 2003, Konica Corporation merged with Minolta to form Konica Minolta. In 1972, Minolta worked with Leitz - the outcome the famous Lecia.
